The National Confederation of Veterans rejected the proposal for shared sovereignty over the Malvina Islands.

He issued a categorical statement, fully aligned with the Ushuaia Veterans Center's condemnation of Alejandro Diego's proposal for shared sovereignty. The veterans' community unified its position: sovereignty is not to be divided, not to be put to a plebiscite, and the colony has no right to self-determination.

<La Confederación Nacional de Veteranos, se sumó a la masiva convocatoria lanzada por el Centro de Excombatientes de Malvinas en Ushuaia.

The strong institutional reaction from the National Confederation of Malvinas War Veterans , following the controversial presentation by veteran Alejandro Diego at the University of Manchester in the UK —where he proposed an unconstitutional scheme involving three flags, shared sovereignty, and the creation of an autonomous province for the islanders—has solidified a national front of unwavering resistance. The massive demonstration launched by the Malvinas Ex-Combatants Center in Ushuaia, led by Juan Carlos Parodi , was joined by the resounding statement from the National Confederation , sealing the unanimous condemnation of the entire country.

The support of the highest veterans' organization at the federal level not only validates the alarm raised from the legitimate capital of the Malvinas, but also deepens the technical and political analysis to dismantle what they consider a flagrant threat to national integrity.

The rejection of the National Confederation

Through its official document, signed by its president Ramón Jesús de León and its secretary Oscar Vásquez , the National Confederation meticulously dismantled the legal and historical fallacies that the Infobae portal attempted to normalize through Diego's account:

The dismemberment of Tierra del Fuego as a colonial strategy

The National Confederation fully concurred with the warning issued by the Malvinas Veterans Center in Ushuaia regarding the imminent danger to the Tierra del Fuego region. By attempting to create "autonomous provinces" or "structures of reinforced self-government" in the archipelago, these proposals violate both the National Constitution and the Constitution of the Province of Tierra del Fuego .

Far from being a "modern" solution, this type of proposal fragments a functioning Argentine province and seeks to force the acceptance of the British colonial occupation as if it were a legitimate institutional reality. Those who promote these ideas seek to isolate the geopolitical jurisdiction of Tierra del Fuego, leaving the South Atlantic at the mercy of the major powers' trade agreements.

The Malvinas/Malvinas issue is not to be negotiated in secret.

The unified stance of the Ushuaia Center and the National Confederation sends a powerful lesson to the media and diplomatic outlets that seek to test the waters for surrender in the coming years: the Argentine people have never renounced, nor will they ever renounce, their sovereign rights.
