Malvinas veterans will have free access to National Parks

The aim is to honour the sacrifice of those who defended Argentine sovereignty in the 1982 conflict for the recovery of the Malvinas Islands. It involves 11 National Parks throughout the country.

The initiative underlines the importance of remembering and honouring the memory of former combatants

Starting in November , veterans of the Malvinas War will have free access to the National Parks thanks to the recent Resolution 228/2024 of the National Parks Administration.

This decision aims to pay tribute to and honour the sacrifice of those who participated in the conflict over the Malvinas Islands and the South Atlantic Islands , recognising their valuable contribution to the defence of Argentine sovereignty .

To access these protected areas, veterans must present their ID with the corresponding legend or the Unique Certificate of Malvinas War Veterans.

The measure not only facilitates the enjoyment of nature , but also seeks to foster public recognition of those who, through their bravery, defended the homeland against British colonialism .

Among the parks that veterans will be able to visit free of charge are:

Nahuel Huapi National Park (Neuquen-Rio Negro)

Los Alerces National Park (Chubut)

Los Arrayanes National Park (Neuquen)

Lanin National Park (Neuquen)

Talampaya National Park (La Rioja)

Sierra de las Quijadas National Park (San Luis)

El Palmar National Park (Entre Rios)

Lago Puelo National Park (Chubut)

Iguazu National Park (Misiones)

Glaciers National Park (Santa Cruz)

Tierra del Fuego National Park
