Just on the day that Argentines were celebrating Mother's Day, the El Destape portal published a shocking news item, in which journalist Sebastián Premici reports that "the US State Department devised a new mechanism for intervention and interference in Latin American countries: the Alliance for the Security of Critical Minerals."
That would be nothing new. The peoples of America and the world are well aware of the deliberate and ruthless policy that American imperialism has in store for our nations: that of condemning our countries to be the “eternal” providers of natural resources and raw materials, condemning our development to death in favor of maintaining a status quo that only benefits the birds of prey of the monopolistic and imperialist capital of the United States , the United Kingdom and Israel , countries that make up the Anglo-Yankee-Zionist vanguard of the Western Axis. So far, nothing new under the sun.
But the most serious and dangerous thing is that, in said article, the portal reports an even more shocking news, by reporting that: “On August 22, Foreign Minister Diana Mondino signed a 'Memorandum of Cooperation for Governance, Investment and Security of supply chains at a global level' with José Fernández, Undersecretary of Economic Growth, Energy and Environment of the United States. The Argentine official promised to establish a sort of privileged information channel to favor American companies in the businesses behind lithium, rare earths and other critical minerals.”
Any ordinary citizen, those Argentine men and women who get up every day to work, doing so with great effort in these times, since we are in a calamitous state of affairs as a consequence of the inhuman policies that the libertine liberal regime has been implementing for more than ten months, can see that: “The national government of the Argentine Republic intends to provide information to the United States regarding potential tenders and projects in the country as soon as said information is available. The national government will do everything within its power to encourage subnational governments (the provinces) to provide this information as soon as possible to guarantee that companies based in the United States and partners of the Association for the Safety of Minerals have sufficient time to participate” , as stated in the document bearing the signatures of the accused Diana Mondino and the gringo Fernández to which El Destape had access after making two requests for access to public information.
As we reported in Agenda Malvinas , the block of national deputies of Unión por la Patria presented last Thursday, a request for impeachment against Foreign Minister Diana Mondino for the joint declaration that she sealed with her British counterpart, David Lemmy , regarding the Malvinas Islands , which among other points implies the resumption of the regular weekly flight from San Pablo, with a stopover in Córdoba; resuming the scientific agreement on fishing matters; and completing the identity of the last unnamed collective grave, in the military cemetery of Darwin.
In addition to this request for impeachment, there are three complaints against Mondino filed in court in recent weeks: the first one was filed by the lawyer of the families of the victims of the ARA San Juan, Valeria Carreras ; the second one was filed by the CECIM La Plata ; and the third one was filed by the Confederation of Combatants of Malvinas Republic of Argentina .
The Milei government's vocation for surrender is explained by the fact that it is a puppet brought to life by those who pull the strings: the warmongering imperialism of the Western Axis led by the US, the United Kingdom and Israel.
As reported by El Destape , movements linked to the Critical Minerals Security Partnership (MSP) use the camouflage of an official narrative that attempts to present this advance on the sovereignty of the countries in the region as “lithium investment projects,” which translated into the language of the MSP “implies deepening the North American confrontation with China, Russia, and other countries.”
“We have our foot on the accelerator. And we have to speed up the processes so that economic security becomes national security in the hemisphere ,” said the current head of the Southern Command, Laura Richardson , recently during a panel at the Annual Hemispheric Security Conference (HSC) organized in Miami by Florida International University (FIU) and which we reported on from Agenda Malvinas in mid-May.
This week, Richardson was in Mendoza . He came to supervise and monitor the holding of the XVI Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas. While this was happening in the province of Cuyo, a meeting of the International Energy Agency was taking place in Buenos Aires , organized by the Wilson Center , with an eye on the development of critical minerals .
None of this is a coincidence, because as Sebastián Premici states in his article: “No one is hiding anything anymore. Neither the Milei administration – enthusiastic about handing over natural and territorial resources – nor the North American administration, surprised by the devotion of the Mileísta caste towards its recommendations.”
“Argentina is a key country to ensure stability in the region ,” warned Marc Stanley , United States ambassador to Argentina, during his speech at the annual event of the chamber that brings together the interests of North American companies in Argentina (AmCham), held last March.
“I can't recall other times when we have been so focused on Argentina as we have been in the last two months,” he added, before concluding. “Cooperation related to critical minerals is key. In fact, (Antony) Blinken – the US Secretary of State – has been dedicated to overseeing this issue for the last two weeks . ”
The Western Axis , led by the United States, the United Kingdom and Israel, is “closely watching the copper, lithium and uranium basins that exist in the country.” But also the reserves of fresh water, hydrogen and rare earths. Let’s not even talk about oil and gas.
Premici is right to point out that: “Under the pretext of the energy transition, they are advancing the new national security doctrine. At the same time, the Embassy, the fourth fleet of the Southern Command, the Foreign Ministry and Minister Patricia Bullrich are acting, who will offer companies a sort of quasi-military shield through the so-called Unified Productive Command.”
