Kelpers evaluate new commercial air routes that connect Malvinas with the world

The British colony established in the Malvinas is considering other air connections to replace the flight between São Paulo (Brazil) and the islands, whose overflight permit was canceled by the Argentine government.

Miami, London and Cape Verde are the three options evaluated to supplement the connection with Brazil.

Although they maintain that they are still holding “conversations with Latam Brazil,” members of the British colonial legislative assembly that usurps the Malvinas, expressed having dusted off the alternatives studied after 2016, the year in which the Foradori-Duncan Agreement was signed; to expand the air connection with the islands.

And prior to the air link with Brazil authorized by the government of Mauricio Macri , the settlers were working with consultants who advised them to see what options were economically viable and operationally feasible, to add a second flight to the only weekly connection that today Latam toasts Chile.

In this way, options that do not depend on Argentina's overflight authorization, as is the case with South America, or those that, due to the distance such as with Europe, become highly expensive, take on new validity.
